We became increasingly frustrated with EOL as it is right now. We see it as a rather fixed, very bureaucratic entity which isn't very flexible and agile when it comes to design and usability. We want EOL to be better, so that it can become truly useful for everyone. That's why we've decided to propose this redesign, EOL3
